Acupuncture is an ancient system of healing developed over thousands of years and is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The earliest records of acupuncture date back over 3,000 years and today there are over 3 million practitioners worldwide.
The ERA Clinic is located in Oswestry. It is the busy, private practice of experienced Practitioner Emma Roberts BSc Hons, MATCM, qualified in both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Five Element Acupuncture. The clinic is the perfect place for you to revitalise your energy and give yourself time out from the stress and strain of everyday life.
According to TCM our physical health is intrinsically linked to our mental and emotional wellbeing, so it is often necessary to look at all levels to achieve optimum health.
Historically, acupuncture is a holistic approach to the management of disease as well as the maintenance of health. The skill of the Practitioner lies in their ability to diagnose from what is often a complex pattern of disharmony. The TCM Practitioner views the whole person as an individual, with a unique set of physical and emotional strengths and weaknesses. Thus, the exact pattern and degree of disharmony is unique to each individual and each patient will therefore be treated based on a personalised plan.

About Emma
Emma worked in primary and secondary education for 15 years before undertaking a BSc Hons degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Glyndwr, University of Wales. This qualification includes the disciplines of Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Tuina, and Chinese Dietary Therapy.
Emma works within the NHS as an Acupuncture Pain Specialist for Shropshire and Wrekin. She also offers treatments from a purpose built clinic at her home near Oswestry, where she is able to offer day, evening and weekend appointments. Home visits are also available for those unable to attend clinics.
Professional Accreditation and Membership
Emma is a fully qualified, licensed, accredited and insured Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioner, acupuncturist and Reiki Master. She is also a member of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ATCM), which is the largest UK professional regulatory body for the practice of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine.
The clinic is fully insured against public liability and professional indemnity and adheres to strict codes of practice, professional conduct, confidentiality, ethics and safety.
To ensure that highest quality of care is provided, Emma regularly attends professional seminars and conferences and workshops.
